At Wasaga Community Theatre, we began with a simple dream: to curate an environment where creativity could flourish and friends and neighbours could discover the power of live performance together. Through the years, we have worked together to weather challenges, celebrate triumphs, and stay steadfast to our commitment to making a safe and supportive space for everyone who walks through our doors. Whether it’s your first time visiting us or you’re a long-time part of our community theatre, we welcome you with open arms.
Wasaga Community Theatre receives an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant of $12,200 to purchase new audio and lighting equipment to enhance future productions.

How it all Started!
In the winter of 1991, Members of the Blue Mountain Foundation of the Arts formed a theatre group in Wasaga Beach.
The elected boards of directors, with the generous help of The Town of Wasaga Beach and many others, brought their first production ‘Exit the Body’ to the stage.
In 2002 Wasaga Community Theatre incorporated as a non-profit.
Since that time, the group has gone on to produce one or two plays per year in the spring and fall. Most recently was The Importance of Being Earnest.
We are currently proud to be in out 33rd year.

Getting through Covid has brought new excitement throughout the community. We, the current board of WCT are excited to be apart of that.
In addition to providing high-quality live performances and productions, we’re also committed to extending our work beyond the stage. We offer educational programs, workshops, hands-on learning opportunities, and plenty of ways to actively participate with our group. Together, we can strengthen the fabric of our community here in Wasaga Beach, Ontario and create beautiful moments of joy and wonder.
To us, theatre is not a luxury, but a necessity. We believe in the vital power of building empathy, sparking imagination, and creating lasting connections between people through the art of live theatre.
